It is the last day for filing of nominations today. AIR correspondent reports that the electors of Bhabanipur will have to take a major decision on the last day of this month as the constituency goes for a by-poll to choose its representative on that day. On the last of filing nominations, Left Front candidate Srijib Biswas and BJP candidate Priyanka Tibrewal have placed their candidature today which means, if found valid, Bhabanipur is going to witness a triangular contest between three lawyers.
''
''Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress candidate Mamata Banerjee had already filed nomination last Friday. The by-election has attained enormous significance as Ms. Banerjee is required to win to retain her chair as the Chief Minister. Main Opposition party BJP, in its second attempt to stop her from winning, has fielded lawyer Tibrewal, who succeeded to challenge the government regarding post-poll violence while CPIM also fielded a lawyer to fight for the prestigious seat.
''
''In addition, polling will also be held simultaneously for other two Assembly segments, Jangipur and Samshergunj of Murshidabad.
