The West Bengal government has decided to run 5 hundred extra buses to tackle the Puja rush. Inaugurating a computerized bus reservation centre of the South Bengal transport Corporation in Kolkata on Monday, the State Transport Minister Mr. Madan Mitra said that the extra buses to be driven during Durga Puja festival.The buses he said will be commissioned from all the transport corporations under the state government. Mr. Mitra said that during the Durga Puja buses will ply throughout the night and ferry services will be extended. 12 control rooms will be opened to cater to the needs of commuters during Durga Puja.
