In West Bengal, Trinamool Congress has released its manifesto, highlighting ten major promises, for the ensuing assembly elections. It was released by the TMC chief Mamata Banerjee in Kolkata this evening.<br />'' <br />''In the manifesto, the party promises to generate 5 lakh employment opportunities in a year and to cut the unemployment rate by half. It promises to ensure minimum annual income of rs. 6,000 for every family belonging to general catagory and rs. 12,000 for every household belonging to backward communities.<br />'' <br />''Introducing a student credit card of Rs 10 lakh at only 4 percent interest, where the government will be the guarantor is also mentioned.<br />'' <br />''Ms Banerjee added that her government will increase the annual financial aid to marginal farmers from RS 6,000 to rs. 10,000 per acre. A special development board for Terai-Doors area in the hills has also been promised.<br />'' <br />''<span style="color: #222222;">She claimed that since TMC came to power in the state, 100 per cent promises were fulfilled and some of the projects of the state government were highly acclaimed by international bodies like United Nations.</span><br />
