In West Bengal, TMC MLA and former Mayor of Asansol Jitendra Tiwary has joined BJP ahead of the State Assembly Elections. Mr Tiwary joined the party in presence of the State Unit Chief Dilip Ghosh in Hooghly district last evening.<br />'' <br />''<span style="color: #222222;">The MLA of Pandeveswar had resigned as the Chief of the Municipal Corporation of Asansol in December last year. BJP leaders welcomed him to the party, TMC leaders said that his exit will not make any difference. Polls for the state Assembly with total 294 seats will be held in eight phases from 27th of March to 29th of April. Counting of votes will take place on 2nd of May.</span><br />
