West Bengal has stressed upon administering the second dose of covid vaccine to complete the vaccination process of nearly 90lakh people. The Director of State Health Services Dr. Ajay Chakraborty said that due to shortage of vaccines, the second dose will be provided to the people who are due while the first dose is restricted to the health care and front line workers only.<br />''&nbsp;<br />''Dr. Chakraborty said that, due to efficient vaccine administration in the field level, the wastage factor was negative and the state saved about 3.5 lakh doses. The state is procuring vaccines from manufacturers for third phase vaccination.<br />''&nbsp;<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">More than 1 crore 19 lakh 63 thousand people have been vaccinated in the state so far.</span><br />
