In West Bengal, prohibitory orders under Section 144 of Criminal Procedure Code has been promulgated at Bhatpara and adjoining areas in North 24 Parganas district today following series of clashes between two groups. Fresh violence erupted last night when two warring groups indiscriminately used bombs at different places in Bhatpara and Kankinara areas. <br />''<br />''Situation remained unchanged in the morning also and police had to open fire to bring the mob under control. Miscreants ransacked the Bhatpara Municipality. Agitated people blocked and staged demonstrations on the rail track at Kankinara Station demanding immediate restoration of peace in the area. Train services in Sealdah Main Section were disrupted for few hours due to the blockage. Strong police contingents have been deployed to maintain law and order in the area.<br />
