West Bengal Polls: Free ride arranged for voters aged above 80 years, those with disabilities to cast their vote

<span style="color: #222222;">Free ride is arranged for the voters aged above 80 years and those with disabilities to cast their vote in the West Bengal Assembly election. The Additional CEO Sanjoy Basu informed media persons that 17 persons in the fifth phase and 10 voters in the sixth phase election used this free taxi service. AIR Correspondent reports that there are one lakh one thousand 689 voters above the age of 80 and 50,919 voters with disabilities during the seventh phase of polling in 34 constituencies to be held tomorrow.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The election office in the state has tied up with Uber taxi service provider to provide free ride to the senior citizens and people with disability in select constituencies. Ride will be free for the two kilometres distance up to a fair of 200 rupees. Extra will have to be paid by the voters. To avail the service in Kolkata South constituencies the qualified voter has to call up election helpline 1950 and receive the promo code. They have to add the promo code in Uber app wallet and book a ride to their polling booth.</span><br />''  <br />
