The West Bengal Government is setting up an academy for Kabigan, a traditional art form in which instant poetry is set to time. This was decided at a meeting of the State Cabinet. The State minister for Backward Class Welfare Mr. Spen Biswas informed this at the Writers’ Buildings. He said, Kabigan would be researched upon and used to eradicate superstition in the villages. For this a hosted of the Backward Classes Welfare Department at Bongaon will be used.
