West Bengal Govt to celebrate Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose's 125th birth anniversary while abiding by Covid protocols

Amidst Covid 19 surge, West Bengal Government will celebrate Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose's 125th birth anniversary while abiding by Covid protocols. The main function will be held beneath the Netaji statue at Maidan at around 12 noon.<br />'' <br />'' Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee will offer floral tribute there. Siren will be played. Earlier it had been decided that a colourful rally would be brought out. But that has been canceled due to sharp rise of Covid 19. On the occasion a tram with description of Netaji's role in struggle for freedom will keep standing at Shyambazar five point crossing. Madan Mitra, Chairman, State Transport Corporation inaugurated the tram on Saturday.<br />''  <br />'' The tram will be at Shyambazar till upcoming Wednesday and after that it will be kept at Dharmatala from Thursday to 31st of this month. No fee for the visitors.<br />
