West Bengal govt takes all precautionary measures to deal with any eventuality arising out of cyclone AMPHAN

<span style="color: #222222;">The West Bengal Government has taken all precautionary measures to deal with any eventuality arising out of cyclone "AMPHAN". Speaking to the press Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said that Coastal Districts, North and South 24-Parganas, East Mednapur, Howrah, Hooghly and Kolkata in South Bengal have been cautioned for the super cyclonic storm which is likely to hit the State tomorrow afternoon.</span><br />'' <b><span style="color: #222222;"> </span></b><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">About three lakhs people have been evacuated from low-lying areas of North and South 24-Parganas and East and West Midnapur Districts. All evacuees have been kept at cyclone shelters, schools, flood shelters maintaining the norms of social distancing and proper sanitization in the wake of COVID Pandamic. Chief Minister, Mamata Banerjee reviewed the situation with District Magistrates and Superintendent of Police through Video Conferencing. Home Minister, Amit Shah called up Ms. Banerjee to take stock of the situation and assured all kinds of help to deal with the situation.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">NDRF and SDRF teams, Coastal Force and other Disaster Management teams have been kept ready. Vigorus micking are on at Sea Town Digha, Mandermoni and vast areas of Sunderbans urging the people to move into safer places. A special Control Room has been set up at the State Secretariate to monitor the situation round the clock.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The Kolkata Municipal Corporation has also taken special measures for maintaining the civic services. The State Power Department has also drawn up contingency plan to continue uninterrupted services.</span><br />''  <br />
