The West Bengal Government has announced a CBI enquiry into the alleged WAKF property scam during the last Left front Government's rule in the state. Announcing this in the State Assembly on Thursday, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said that the government has also initiated enquiry into the misuse of Minority Development Corporation funds. Replying to the budget discussions on the Minority Affairs and Madrasa Education Department, Miss Banerjee said her government has decided to give scholarship to 10 lakh students belonging to the minority community this year.
