The West Bengal Government has chalked out elaborate programmes to celebrate the 150th birth anniversary of Gurudev Rabindra Nath Tagore. Announcing this in Kolkata today the Chief Minister Mr. Buddhadev Bhattacharjee said that, the state Government has constituted 28th members committee for year long celebrations of the birth anniversary of the great poet. Mr. Bhattacharjee said that, the Government has taken initiatives for fresh publication of Rabindra Literatures and his paintings besides different cultural programmes, seminars and exhibitions. The Chief Minister said that, he has urged the Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh to release funds for renovation of Jorasanko Thakurbari- the birth place of Gurudev Tagore and Nimtala crematorium in Kolkata where his last rites took place. The 150th birth anniversary of Tagore falls on 9th of May this year.<br/>
