The West Bengal Government has notified a new hawker's policy and took decision to create several new posts in the state. Briefing the media after a cabinet meeting, the minister of State for Information and Culture Mr. S. Bera said, to strengthen the security apparatus of the railways, a new GRP Police Station will be set up at Chandrakona at Kharagpore section. Besides this there will be an increase in dog squads in Kharagpore, Sealdaha, Howrah and New Jalpaiguri Stations.
