West Bengal celebrates Independence Day with tableaus to spread awareness on use of face masks

<span style="color: #222222;">West Bengal joined the rest of the nation in celebrating the Independence Day today in an apposite manner.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The main Programme was held at Barrackpore Gandhi Ghat where State Governor Mr. Jagdeep Dhankhar paid floral tributes at the martyrs column.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The Chief Minister Miss Mamata Banerjee hoisted the National Tricolour at a programme at Red Road in Kolkata this morning and took guard of honour. She honoured a few COVID warriors and presented the Chief Minister's Police medals to 10 officials. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">AIR Correspondent reports that tableaus were taken out to spread awareness on the use of face masks in the wake of ongoing pandemic. A small cultural programme was also organised there on the occasion. The programme was cut short this time due to the prevailing COVID situation in the State.</span><br />
