West Bengal: Army begin inquiry of fire at ammunition depot

In West Bengal, a major fire broke out early today in one of the largest ammunition depots of Indian Army at Panagarh in Burdwan district of West Bengal. The fire gutted a store house coantaining a large number of small arms and ammunition.Though the fire was brought under control by around 3.30 am but the shed was totally destroyed. However, there is no casualty or injury due to fire. An army spokesman told our Kolkata correspondent reports that the army has begun an inquiry over the major fire. A team of official of the eastern command is on the spot to probe the incident. Panagarh is about 120 kms from Kolkata and has one of the largest ammunition depots of the Indian Army and is also an important air force base.<br/>
