The republic day is being celebrated all over West Bengal in a befitting manner. On this day a colourful parade was taken out at the Red road in Kolkata where contingence of army, navy and airforce took part, besides there were police, paramilitary force and also school children.

The Governor Mr. M.K.Narayanan took guard of honour. The ceremony was witnessed by the Chief Minister Ms. Mamta Banerjee, her Cabinet colleagues and Members of the Diplomatic Corps.
