In Jammu and Kashmir, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has said that welfare of every section of the society and each community, besides safeguarding the rights of the people of J&amp;K is the topmost priority of the UT Administration.<br />''<br />''AIR correspondent reports that the LG made these remarks during his visit to Jagti Township in the outskirts of Jammu yesterday, which was the latest in the series of taking first hand appraisal of the issues of the people.<br />''<br />''The LG said, in order to bring a new era of development in J&amp;K, the Administration is working on the agenda of equitable and holistic development. The residents of Jagti Township apprised the LG about various welfare issues of Kashmir Pandit community including permanent rehabilitation, enhancement of relief amount, financial package of Kashmir Pandits for facilitating entrepreneurship and business, compensation for damaged properties and retrieval of encroached properties in Kashmir. They also flagged the issues of political reservation to KPs and demanded more townships for remaining families of migrants.<br />''<br />''The LG assured that all the genuine issues and demands projected by them would be looked into meticulously for their early redressal.<br />''<br />'' The LG further said, the UT Administration is taking comprehensive measures to ensure prompt redressal of people's grievances, besides improving public service delivery mechanism with progressively increasing citizens' participation at all levels, through transparent and accountable governance.<br />
