WEE cohort initiative helps women to take up entrepreneurship as career option

<span style="color: #222222;">The Women Entrepreneurship and Empowerment, WEE cohort initiative helps women ranging from college going students to middle-aged housewives to take up entrepreneurship as a viable, fulfilling career option. It is India's first of its kind initiative to strengthen women's ecosystem at IIT Delhi, supported and sponsored by the Department of Science and Technology.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">  </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The cohort was coached and trained by eminent mentors from various fields. Women entrepreneurs from 16 different states across India participated.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">  </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Dr Neeta Doshi bagged the bronze award for creating a machine to convert air particles to rain. The rainfall produced by catalyzing precipitation artificially will be addressing large scale farming, water shortages and water floods aimed at irrigation. Talking to AIR News, Dr Doshi said, WEE was a learning experience.</span><br />

She is the Founder and Creative Director at Ribbon Candy which is a homegrown label that makes handmade apparel and accessories for girls.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">She has worked with underprivileged women in Vadodara during the COVID 19 lockdown and had created natural textiles and COVID 19 related accessories.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Talking to AIR News, Ms Gandhi said, Ribbon Candy works closely with underprivileged women and more than 30 such women have been impacted positively by their initiative.</span><br />
