The weather condition has improved in eastern Uttar Pradesh while the temperature is still down in the western region due to westerly wind and repeated snowfall in neighbouring Uttarakhand. The temperature hovered between eight to eleven degrees in different parts of the state at 8:30 am. Meerut recorded six point two degrees Celsius. One death has occurred in Gorakhpur due to cold last night.
