Chief of the Indian Olympic contingent Rakesh Gupta today said, every possible step is being taken to address any possible risk of Zika virus. His statement came as many top athletes around the globe seem poised to pull out of the Rio Olympics due to virus concern. On the sidelines of an event in New Delhi, where Amul became the official sponsor of the Indian contingent, Mr Gupta said, India has forwarded to the players and federations all advisories received from the international body. The Chef-de-mission of Indian contingent said they would also provide repellents to the athletes for use in Brazil. He said the IOA is also providing full sleeves T-shirts to the players. He said none of the athletes have raised any concern so far. About India's preparation for the Games, Mr Gupta said he was hopeful that the country will win more than 10 medals at these Olympics. He said, the Indian Olympic Association has lots of hopes from Saina Nehwal in badminton, Jitu Rai in shooting and Vikash Krishan in boxing.
