Minister for Women and Child Development Maneka Gandhi today inaugurated sports meet for Children living in Child-Care Institutions at JLN stadium in New Delhi. The event was organized as part of National Festival for Children of Child Care Institutions, Hausla 2018. Contingents from 18 states with over 600 children are competing in the event. Boxer M C Mary Kom also attended the programme and administered oath of sportmanship to the children. <br />'' <br />''Speaking on the occasion, Mrs Gandhi said, her Ministry has taken many important steps for safe future and development of children. She said, focus is being given to children who need special care. She said, Protection of Children from Sexual Offences POSCO e-box portal is being run by the Ministry to register complaint of child sexual abuse and it can be filed online. Ms Gandhi said, 24X7 CHILDLINE service 1098 and railway CHILDLINE is operational to help children stranded in trouble.<br />''<br />
