WC Semifinals: New Zealand set 218 runs target for Sri Lanka

New Zealand have set a modest victory target of 218 runs for Sri Lanka in the first semi-final of the ICC Cricket World Cup in Colombo. Electing to bat after winning the toss at the R. Premadasa Stadium, the Kiwis were all out for 217 in 48.5 overs. Scott Styris was the top-scorer with 57. The other notable scorers were Martin Guptill who made 39, and Ross Taylor who was out for 36.For Sri Lanka, Lasith Malinga and Ajantha Mendis claimed three wickets each. M. Muralitharan accounted for two dismissals.
