In the Men's World Cup Hockey Championship being played in New Delhi today, Korea take on New Zealand in the first match of the day. Netherlands take on Canada in the next match and Germany play against Argentina in the third. India's semifinal hopes were virtually dashed after Spain defeated the hosts 5-2 in a crucial Pool B match of the hockey World Cup in New Delhi last night. The comprehensive defeat leaves India with no other option but to win both their remaining matches against England and South Africa. It has to wait that outcome of other matches also go in its favour. In last night's do-or-die battle, the Indians had numerous chances to score but the strikers let the side down. Meanwhile, Indian coach Jose Brasa admitted that team's semifinals hopes are over in the hockey World Cup and blamed lack of exposure for his side's dismal show in the prestigious event. He said, the players committed some childish mistake due to the lack of international matches.
