WC 2011: Canada 7/3, chasing target of 299

In a Group-A encounter of the ICC Cricket World Cup, Canada were 7 for the loss of 3 wickets against Zimbabwe a short while ago. Earlier, at the Vidharbha Cricket Association Stadium in Nagpur, Zimbabwe posted a healthy 298 for 9 in their allotted 50 overs batting first. After losing two wickets in the first three overs, Zimbabwe bounced back strongly into the game, thanks to a brilliant third wicket stand of 181 runs between Tatenda Taibu and Craig Ervine. But after their fall, Zimbabwe failed to capitalise as they lost 5 wickets for just 52 runs. Zimbabwean Wicket-Keeper Tatenda Taibu top scored with 98 while Balaji Rao bagged four wickets for Canada. Meanwhile at the Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium in New Delhi, Netherlands have won the toss and elected to field against the West Indies in a day night Group-B clash. All India Radio is broadcasting live commentary on this match on the FM Gold Channel.
