West Bengal Government has decided to turn the city of Kolkata into a knowledge city. State Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee discussed the issue with the noted technocrat Sam Pitroda in Kolkata today. Ms Banerjee said that Mr. Pitroda has been made an Advisor to the State Government for resurgence of Bengal in the field of technology. Later, speaking to newsmen, Mr. Pitroda said, he has given a report to the Chief Minister for technological upliftment in education, health and industry sectors for the state.
