The West Bengal Government has decided to issue new ration cards replacing old cards. The Government notification has been issued for this purpose. The State Information Secretary, Mr. Subesh Das said in Kolkata today that three different colours will be used for various categories of card holders like Below Poverty Line, Above Poverty Line and Annapurna Annodaya Yajona Beneficiaries. New Ration Cards will be issued in 170 Blocks in first phase with in 31st December this year.
