WB to have ultramodern health facilities soon

West Bengal will soon have ultramodern health facilities on the lines of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, (AIIMS). Addressing a gathering at the celebration of 175years of The Calcutta Medical College (CMC) in Kolkata on Thursday, the West Bengal Chief Minister Mr. Buddhadev Bhattacharya said that ultramodern facilities for research and treatment will soon come up in the State. He said, the new facilities will be available even to the poor. <br/><br/>Mr. Bhattacharya said that the Center has already pledge 100 corer rupees for this purpose, and the State would grant 54 corer rupees to enhance the medical service capacity of CMC. <br/><br/>Mr. Bhattacharya also said that the present medical facilities in the State Hospitals are being utilized by more than 70 percent of State’s population and the spectrum would be increased further. In his speech, the State Health Minister Mr. Surya Kanta Mishra said that the State Government will do every thing in its power to enhance the services of medical capabilities for the common man in the State. This, he said would be done through public private partnership.<br/>
