In Kalimpong, four policemen were injured and the city Trinamool Congress office set on fire today by suspected Gorkha Janmukti Morcha, GJM workers as the indefinite shutdown of Darjeeling Hills entered its 24th day. Official sources said that the policemen were injured by the stone throwing of suspected GJM workers during the Khukri Michil, organised by the party's youth wing. The GJM alleged that police resorted to firing in which three youths were injured. <br/><br/>SP Kalimpong Ajit Singh Yadav, however, denied the allegation. Reports say that GJM workers went berserk after the police lobbed tear gas cells to disperse the mob. Besides the local TMC office, the mob also set NBSTC office in Kalimpong. At Dambarchok in this district also there were reports of violence where the mob set an office on fire.
