Joint forces are continuing search operations in Burisole forest to nab another top ranking maoist leader Suchitra Mahato and two others who managed to flee during the encounter with security men on last Friday. Meanwhile, normal life has been affected in some pockets of maoist infected West Midnapur, Bankura and Purulia districts in view of 48 hour Bangla Bandh called by the maoists from today. The bandh has been called in protest against killing of their leader Kishenji by the security forces on last Friday. The West Bengal government has beefed up the security measures throughout the state in view of the bandh call. Special vigil has been kept on train services plying through Jangalmahal. AIR Kolkata correspondent Arijit Chakraborty reports that the body of the slain maoist leader Kishenji was identified by his niece Deepa Rao at Midnapur Medical college hospital this morning which was followed by post mortem in the presence of forensic experts. The state government has decided to hand over Kishenji's body to his relatives for last rites which will take place at his native village in Andhra Pradesh.
