WB provides $ 100 million to improve road connectivity in Lanka

The World Bank has agreed to provide a loan of 100 million USD to improve road connectivity between East and West Sri Lanka. The World Bank has signed an agreement with the Government of Sri Lanka on Saturday (April 29) to provide the additional financing for the Sri Lanka Road Sector Assistance Project . Under the project, the financial assistance is being provided to improve and upgrade a 134-km segment on the East-West corridor of the A6 from Ambepussa to Dambulla and Kanthale to Trincomalee in two phases.
