West Bengal is observing the Death Anniversary of Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore today. A number of programmes have been organised through out the state to pay respect to the Noble Laureate poet. State Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee will inaugurate a museum on Tagore named as ‘Rabindra Tirtha’ at New Town in Kolkata this afternoon. Special programme has also been organised at Nimtala crematorium in Kolkata where the last rites of the poet took place on this day in 1941.
