WB LS polls: 80 pc voting till 5 pm

In West Bengal, very heavy polling of about 80 percent was recorded in 4 parliamentary seats till 5 PM today. State Chief Electoral Officer Sunil Gupta said told in Kolkata that voting was by and large peaceful barring a few stray incidents.

28 electronic voting machines were replaced for technical snags. Election Commision appointed Special Observer Sudhir Kumar Rakesh reviewed the poll process with the Chief Electoral Officer of West Bengal in Kolkata this evening.
