The West Bengal government has convened an all party meeting in Kolkata today to discuss ways and means against the menace of illicit liquor. The Government has taken the decision in the wake of recent hooch tragedy at Sangrampur in South 24 Pargana district which has claimed 170 lives so far. AIR correspondent reports that the all party meeting will be held at the State Assembly premises in the afternoon and political parties having representation in the House have been invited for the meeting. The State government has already initiated a CID probe over the tragedy.
