WB: High level meet underway to discuss border security in view of ensuing general elections in Bangladesh

In West Bengal, the high level meeting to discuss the border security along with Bangladesh in view of ensuing general elections in the neighbouring country, has begun. The meeting is being held at the administrative headquarter of the State Government at Nabanna in Howra district where the West Bengal Chief Minister Ms Mamta Banerjee, the Union Home Secretary Mr. Anil Goswami and the top brass of the state government are present.

Our Correspondent understands that the meeting is likely to discuss the recent blast in Jalpailguri in which 6 people were killed and other security related issues of the State. The meeting is also likely to take stock of the situation of Maoist activities in West Bengal.
