The West Bengal Government has urged the junior the doctors in the medical colleges and hospitals to withdraw their cease of work by 12 noon on Tuesday. The State Health Secretary Mr. MN Roy told AIR that legal action will be taken against the junior doctors if they do not call off their agitation within the stipulated time.The State Chief Minister Mr. Bhudhadev Bhattachariya on Monday said that the Government will not tolerate unruly behaviour of the junior doctors. Mr. Bhattachariya appealed to them to sit with the Government for talks to settle their grievances. AIR Correspondent reports that the cease of work by the junior doctors of the SSKM Hospital entered the 3rd day on Monday and the agitation letter spread to 2 other medical colleges in the city.Normal functioning has been severely disrupted in 3 medical collages due to agitation by junior doctors. Fresh admissions, emergency operations have come to a halt. Patients and their relatives are facing a tough situation.
