The West Bengal Government has urged the centre to set up two textile hub in the state for revival of cotton and handloom industries. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said that she had a talk with the Union Commerce and Industry Minister Anand Sharma in this regard. She said that the Union Commerce Minister is visiting Kolkata with a delegation of Industrialists to boost industrialization in the state.The Chief Minister said that a Metro Rail Coach Factory has been proposed at Singur in joint collaboration with the Steel Authority of India Limited, Railways and West Bengal Government. Banerjee also announced a number of Industrial Projects which her Government will implement in the next six months.
