The West Bengal Government has decided to set up mother and child care hubs in 11 Districts . The Minister of State for Health Mrs. Chandrima Bhattacherjee told AIR that these special type of hospitals will be set up with an investment of 160 crore rupees. She said that the aim of setting up such hospitals is to provide specialized treatment to mothers and child to reduce infant mortality rate.
