WB govt to release land in Singur to BHEL

The West Bengal Government will release land in Singur to the Bharat Heavy Electrical Limited (BHEL) for a proposed power project after taking back the land from TATA Motors. The State Industry Minister, Mr. Nirupom Sen has said that the State Government will take responsibility for handing the land at Singur in favour of BHEL it expresses willingness to set up a power plant at the site. It may be mentioned that a few days ago officials of BHEL had surveyed the land set to be re-acquired by the State Government for setting up the proposed power plant. Speaking at the inauguration of an exhibition in Kolkata Mr. Sen said that there is a huge scope for business in the State. He reiterated that the State Government is committed to carry out industrialization for the overall development of West Bengal.<br/>
