The West Bengal government will bear the cost of education of meritorious poor students. Chief Minister Buddhadev Bhattacharjee has given assurances that dearth of money will not be an excuse for stopping study. Today the Chief Minister handed over ten thousand rupees each to students at the class-X and class-XII levels who are poor but meritorious. He assured them of financial assistance to carry on their study.
