The West Bengal government submitted a report to the Governor on the accident at Kolaghat in which a truck hit a car of the Railway Minister Mamata Bannerjee's convoy on Monday. This was disclosed by Home Secretary Samar Ghosh in Kolkata after holding an hour-long meeting with Governor M K Narayanan. Meanwhile, the driver, Gujjar Singh, whose car had hit a car in the convoy of Ms. Banerjee has been sent in to judicial custody for 12 days by the Tamluk sub-divisional judicial magistrate in East Midnapore district.
