WB Govt receives investment proposals from 176 companies for industrial ventures

The West Bengal Government has received investment proposals valued over one lakh crore rupees from 176 companies for different industrial ventures. Giving this information in Kolkata today, the State Commerce and Industry Minister, Partha Chatterjee said that the Government has amended the West Bengal Land Reforms Act to attract more industrial investment. Mr. Chatterjee clarified that there is no dearth of land for industries in the state. Earlier, Mr. Chatterjee had a meeting with the Captains of Industries and various Chambers of Commerce on Industrial Prospects of West Bengal.
