WB govt orders high level inquiry over devastating fire in Kolkata

<br/>The West Bengal government has ordered a high level inquiry over yesterday's devastating fire in Kolkata. The death toll in the fire has gone up to 24. The state government has announced two lakh rupees compensation to the families of each victim. The Chief Minister Mr. Buddhadev Bhattacharjee visited the fire ravaged building this morning. Raising the issue in the state assembly today opposition members strongly criticized the government for its alleged inefficiency to control the fire and to rescue trapped persons from inside the building.<br/><br/> Later opposition Trinamool Congress, congress and SUCI members staged a walk out from the House demanding resignation of fire services Minister, Mr Pratim Chatterjee. Mr. Chatterjee informed the House that rescue operation will continue to search if any one still trapped inside the building. Our Kolkata correspondent reports that foreignsic experts have started probe over the yesterday's incident. Out of 24 dead 21 persons have been identified so far.
