WB govt orders CID enquiry into yesterday's rail disaster in Birbhum district

The West Bengal Government has ordered CID enquiry over yesterday's railway disaster at Sianthia in Birbhum district. The State Director General of Police Mr.Bhupinder Singh told in Kolkata this evening that the enquiry order has been issued following a complain by a injured passenger of the Bananchal express at Sianthia. The State Government has also filed a case on the incident. Our correspondent Arijit Chakraborty reports from Sainthia that 39 dead bodies have identified so far. Out of thee 37 bodies have been handed over to their relatives. 20 dead bodies have been kept at Vardhman medical college and hospital for identification .The train disaster today also rocked the proceedings of the West Bengal assembly. The House witnessed noise scenes over the demand of resignation of railway Minister Ms.Mamta Banerjee from Treasury Bench. The opposition Tirnamol Congress and Congress strongly protested the demand which followed by a walk out. The House also adopted obituary reference in the memory of departed soul.
