The West Bengal State Government has formed a five-member committee to looking to the reasons for the delays in the Teesta project. Our correspondent reports, the committee under the leadership of the former State Irrigation Secretary Mr. Biswatosh Sarkar will look in to complaints of irregularities in the project. Talking to news persons at the Writers Buildings in Kolkata, the State Irrigation Minister Dr. Manas Bhuiya said that the committee has been asked to submit its report at the earliest.
