The KKR Cricket team that won the DLF IPL tournament, 2012 was today accorded a civic reception at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata today. The Governor, Mr. N.K.Narayanan, the Chief Minister, Ms. Mamata Banerjee and her Cabinet colleagues were present on the occasion. Large crowd thronged Eden Garden as the entry was given free. Cultural programmes also took place at Eden Gardens. The KKR team went around Eden Gardens with the trophy in hand. Large crowd thronged both sides of the street braving the summer heat. Earlier, cricketers have reached the Writers' building and Gautam Gambhir, the captain of KKR team handed over the trophy to the West Bengal Chief Minister, Ms. Mamata Banerjee. Asmall function was held in front of the Writers' Building.
