The West Bengal Government has decided to set up an online employment bank for the benefit of the employers and job seekers. The state Labour Minister Mr. Purnendu Basu informed this in the state Assembly on Tuesday while replying to the budget discussion of his department. Mr. Basu told the House that the Government is considering the formulation of a labour policy in the state. He told that the labour department will be revamped for effective implementation of labour laws. Initiating the discussion on the budget proposals the CPI(M) member Mr. Gourango Chatterjee alleged that the social security of labourers were not reflected in the budget and he termed it as directionless.
