WB Govt considering to give compensation to victims of Gyaneshwari Express mishap

The West Bengal government is considering to give compensation of 3 lakh rupees each to the next of kin of the unidentified persons who died in Gyaneshwari Express mishap this year. The Special Secretary for Home Department, Mr. Anand Gopal Ghosh told in Kolkata that the decision regarding the payment of compensation to the unidentified victims will be taken within a week. Mr. Ghosh informed that altogether 147 persons were died in Gyaneshwari Express mishap in May this year. Out of total dead 39 bodies could not be identified. The Railways have already given 5 lakh rupees as compensation to the each family of the victims besides assurance of job.
