West Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar has appealed to the citizens of the State to shun violence and maintain peace. Talking to newspersons at Raj Bhavan in Kolkata, Mr. Dhankhar also appealed to political parties to maintain restraint. The Governor also requested Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee to withdraw the advertisements on non-implementation of the NRC and amended Citizenship Act in the State. <br />'' <br />'' AIR Kolkata correspondent reports Violent incidents were reported from Murshidabad, Birbhum, South 24 Paraganas and Burdwan.<br />''   <br />'' Several local and long distance trains were either cancelled or rescheduled due to blockade on rail tracks. Incidents of arson and road blockade were also reported from many areas. Meanwhile, the State administration has snapped Internet connections in six districts.
