West Bengal Governor M K Narayanan has accepted the resignation of Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee and his council of ministers. The Governor requested the Chief Minister and his cabinet colleagues to continue in office until alternative arrangements are made. Earlier this afternoon, Mr Bhattacharjee called on the Governor at Raj Bhavan and tendered his resignation.
