The school education department of West Bengal Government is formulating a guide line to curb physical and mental harassment of school students. In a statement in the State Assembly today the Chief Minister Mr. Buddhadev Bhattacharjee said that the atmosphere in schools should not create any fear among students and authorities has to ensure it for all round development of children. <br/><br/>The Chief Minister’s statement came after recent suicidal death of a class VIII student of La Martanier for boy’s school in Kolkata allegedly physical and mental harassment by the school authority. <br/><br/>Mr. Bhattacharjee informed the house that the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights is enquiring over the incident and their recommendations are expected soon.
